A new family from Sweden!

Japanese autumn is supposed to be fresh, crisp and sunshine - unlike the weather we have been having recently. The weather just got darker by the minute during the session and the cold set in. Sure enough, rain started few hours afterwards. The family were troopers and with so much energy, they took it under their stride. I hope they have a good introduction to Japan to enjoy the rest of their time here.

Christmas Card orders

I will be taking Christmas card orders until 17th November this year. They are printed in the USA so will need time to ship over. Flat 5×7 inch cards (set of 25 with envelopes) are available for 5000 yen and folded 5×7 inch cards are 8000 yen. I will give you three proofs to choose from and customize to suit your style. 17th is the ABSOLUTE latest so please start putting your thinking cap on!

I know I have a stalker from England….

for these photos. I’ve just come back an hour ago - here are the sneaks. No worries, there are many more to come. Not currently in this post but the grandmother, great-grandmother and the mother were all in their beautiful kimonos. It was wonderful to see the grandparents/great grandmother  travel from the other side of Japan for the special event. Although the weather was incredibly overcast (unlike the forecast) but the children behaved beautifully (and so did the adults too!) We made it! Hurrah!

Shichi-Go-San

What a doll I got to photograph today. Since the last time I saw her at her preschool in May, she had become a proud big sister. She was gorgeous and patient in her kimono, pattering around in her zori (Japanese flip-flops).

The family of my daughter’s godmother

We had a short but fun session this morning. This family is always dressed so immaculately! Very close friends of ours - thinking back, I think our friendship stemmed from the older children (mine and hers) wanting to be Powerpuff Girls (yes, my son!) for Halloween in ELC2 and I ended up making the costumes for them. How they have grown since then and so happy to see our friendship flourishing too. Happy to know I have a dear friend that will not move away too quickly. Phew!!

Never trust the weather forecast…

as it was forecast to be nice and sunny this morning. On the contrary, we woke up to a dreary day only to find out that it started drizzling. Well, this family is enough to lighten the darkest of days and sure enough, the rain dried up by the time we started. Third year round of photos - amazing how the children have grown into young adults.

I have become very busy and slots before Christmas is filling up. If you would like to get photos for the Gap model contest (ends 11th November), please contact me ASAP. I am willing to do 5000 yen mini-session as it was popular last year.

This not-so-little baby K…

did everything that a newborn does - poops, pees, spits milk, yawn… all apart from sleep. He just was such an "alert" baby, he simply did not want to miss any excitement! At the age of 3 weeks, he had all adults ’round his tiny fingers. His lovely grandmother helped to sooth him which was a huge help. Sharing these quickly so that the new wonderful and proud parents can rest easy that these images were taken this morning.

Image Overload

How can I resist? Three children, distinctly different and unique but as a family so loving, tight and sweet. It was a pleasure to see all of them back and they have grown and matured over the year too!

Beautiful twins

When this family arrives looking relaxed, beautiful and full of energy, I just knew that the session was going to be a huge success. How could you not have fun with such a family like this! Can’t wait to start proofing… Just a few sneak peeks for now.
